Xero Integration

Please follow the steps below to find and activate the Xero integration in Clover:

  1. Sign in to your Clover Dashboard at ap.clover.com/dashboard.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select View All Settings.
  4. Under Business Operations, choose Accounting Sync.
  5. You will be taken to Xero. Simply click Connect to Xero to complete the integration.

After connecting to Xero, continue with the steps below:

  1. A new tab will open in your browser allowing you to login to Xero with your Xero credentials.

If your Xero account doesn’t have Multifactor Authentication turned on, it may prompt you to enable it or select “Not now” to do it later.

3. Xero will now prompt you to ”allow access” between Clover and Xero. This is required to allow sales data to come from Clover into Xero.

4. You will be returned to the Dashboard now to complete the connection. This may sit and “load” for a couple of minutes.

5. The integration will now show what steps have been completed in the connection.

6. You now need to start mapping data points from Clover to how you want them to appear in Xero. Start with the Country.

7. You next need to select how you want your daily totals to show in Xero. If you are unsure about these options, please speak with your accountant or bookkeeper.

8. You will need to map the Sales accounts data fields to ones that are configured in Xero.

9. You will need to map the Tax rates data fields to ones that are configured in Xero.

10 .You will need to map the default tax rates data fields to ones that are configured in Xero.

11. You will need to map the payment accounts data fields to ones that are configured in Xero.

12. You can set a starting date for Xero to fetch data from (historically) and the local time zone so all date and time data is in sync.

13. Once successfully configured you will be taken to a “accounting sync” page where you can view history of syncs and run manual ones as required.

14. You can see a status of the Sync history here, including when the last sync was run and when the next one is going to. You can always manually sync at any stage. This is the end of the configuration inside of Clover, after this point you will need to validate the data received in Xero.

15. Inside Xero you can view the “account” connected to Clover (in this case it is called Clover Sales) and see the individual entries created during the sync
