Amex Opt Blue Update - Implementation Status
Beyond Payments would like to provide an to our clients and partners on the recently implemented Amex Opt Blue Project that was rolled out on 26th October 2023.
The project has subsequently identified a number of issues after implementation that may have impacted some merchants. We acknowledge that this may have provided a poor experience to merchants. We have since determine solutions for these issues and advise you of the following updates:-

Fees for Amex were not included on the October 2023 statement. |

October 2023 statement did not include Amex information in the Cost of Acceptance (COA) table. |
Amex information is now included on statements. An updated statement for October 2023 will be available through Merchant and/or Business Point by 21st November 2023 |
Amex transactions did not align with the settlement time of other schemes causing split funding and issues with reconciling |
A system update has been completed. From 17th November merchants will receive one settlement deposit into their funding account encompassing all scheme transactions. |
What happens next?
There’s nothing merchants need to do as any updates and changes have automatically been applied to merchant’s facilities.
